One Day God's Work Our Hands Projects

Nathan Summerside, Clayton and Janice Kooiker, and Jim and Sandy Heeren helped Pastor Paige and her mother move some furniture pieces out of their sold home in Sioux City and took them to the Mission of the Messiah. Thank you for doing the heavy lifting for this project!
Noah's Ark Preschool held a carnival for 3 year olds - 5 year olds on Sunday afternoon. What a beautiful day to host Noah's Ark families for some outdoor fun! Cheryl Juhl and Shawn Shipley assisted with the bouncy house - a very popular attraction!

Visit Kay Allen:
Kay is home from her long hospital stay and welcomes visitors in her recovery! Text or call her at 712-540-6950 to set up a time for a visit. Her address is 1354 6th Ave. SE here in Le Mars.
Write Notes of Encouragement to the Faculty and Students of MOC-FV:
Early Labor Day morning, there was a tragic house fire north of Granville and 3 MOC-FV students died as a result of injuries in that fire and one student is hospitalized in St. Paul, MN where he is being treated for burns. This devastating event has impacted the faculty of MOC-FV (which includes our member, Travis Balt) as well as its student body. Travis has suggested notes of encouragement for MOC-FV's students and faculty would be uplifting for them in this time of grief. If you would like to write a note, please bring it to church and hand it to Travis and he will deliver it to the school.
Please also keep these families and this community in your prayers. Among those families involved, Kolten Hofmeyer was the son of Ashley Berkenpas, a graduate of LCHS, and the grandson of Darwin and Alaska Berkenpas. Kolten and Bryleigh and Ashton Koob were laid to rest last weekend. Luke remains hospitalized in Minnesota. The Koob family also lost their home in this tragedy. If you would like to give to the families, American Bank locations are taking donations.

Next Sunday, September 14th
Living Faith will gather for worship at 11:00 in the Sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. Pastor Paige will preside over worship and Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano. If you would like to read scripture, please let Kay Michaelson know. Travis Balt will assist with Holy Communion. Mark Juhl will greet you at the door and hand you a bulletin. Tim Kass will run the sound system and Angela Catton will live stream our service.

Prior to worship, at 9:30, join Pastor Paige in Room 105 for a Bible Study on one of the readings of the day! Last Sunday, we found out so much about Philemon that we didn't know! The hour flew by with great conversation and insights shared on the Philemon text! At 10:30, head into the Fellowship Hall for coffee and conversation with our PUCC friends!

Wednesday, September 10th, Confirmation students will meet in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC at 7:00.

The Church Council will meet at 5:30 in Room 105 on Tuesday, September 23rd.
