Last Week
Living Faith is grateful for the hospitality of Pastor Jan Christensen and the PUCC members in opening their doors for us to worship. In the summer of 2022, we worshiped 3 times during those months in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC. Then in the fall, we desired to have a more consistent worship schedule and we arranged to have services at 5:00 on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, again gathering in the Fellowship Hall. In January of 2023, we were able to hold services every Sunday and we moved into the Youth Room of the PUCC. It was in that space that we signed our Living Faith Charter! In May of 2023, the PUCC offered us the use of their Chapel space for our Sunday worship. This space has served us well, however, the PUCC in their generosity, came to us and offered their Sanctuary as a space for us to worship as our attendance has grown in this short time. Sunday was our final time of worship in the Chapel and we are thankful for Pastor Halaas who led us in this service and accompanied us on the piano! Thank you also to Yvonne Law for reading scripture, Kari Kopperud for serving Communion, Tim Kass for ushering and Angela Catton for live-streaming our service.
Next Week

Living Faith will gather with the Presbyterian United Church of Christ to worship at Hillview Recreation Area just west of Hinton (25601 C60) at 10:00 AM Sunday morning. Pastor Jan preside over Holy Communion. The Grace Notes Praise Band will provide music under the leadership of Rich Ziettlow. Bobbi Bendickson will be giving the message on Sunday. Tim Kass will usher for communion. One Living Faith member is needed to help with serving communion (holding the chalice). Please let Kay know if you would be able to assist.
Following worship, join everyone in the potluck lunch. Pulled pork sandwiches and nachos will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share along with your own table service. Water, coffee and lemonade will be provided.
Karissa Carlson will be leading a nature scavenger hunt for kids of all ages following our meal!
After lunch, there will be two service opportunities to do at the park: small saplings need to be cut down. These are about an inch in diameter. Please bring work gloves and a hand saw if you wish to help with this task. The second task will be to walk the trail at Hillview and pick up trash along the way. Please bring work gloves and a plastic grocery sack for this job.

There will be no Faith + Fellowship on Sunday due to worship at Hillview. We will next gather with the members of the PUCC on Sunday, October 13. Come join in the fellowship at 10:00 on the 13th in the Fellowship Hall!
