Join us for Trinity Sunday in the Chapel at the PUCC!

Last Week

We celebrated Pentecost Sunday in the Chapel of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ! 32 gathered for worship and our offering totaled $706.

Thank you to Peg McAllister, Kay Allen, Tim Kass, and Gail Kass for assisting with worship last Sunday!

Faith + Fellowship Time was held in its new location of Room 103, first room on your right down the hallway towards the Chapel!

This Week

We welcome Pastor Jean to the Chapel to lead us in worship! Join us at 11:00. Park in the back of the PUCC, enter through the preschool doors. Go down the hallway, turn to your left and the Chapel is the last room on your right in that hallway.

Dawn Richards will accompany us, Kay Michaelson will read scripture and Peg McAllister will assist with communion.

Peg McAllister will provide treats for Faith + Fellowship at 10:00 in Room 103. The coffee pot is always on! Join us in sharing highs and lows and going "Once around the Table" with a variety of questions!

Celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday with us: "...it’s a time to honor the triune God, to celebrate the immensity of our God and to proclaim that our God is beyond explanation, because every name we have for God is, ultimately, inadequate. On Holy Trinity Sunday, our best practice would be to lean into the divine mystery." Angela T. !Kahbeb

Living Faith Lutheran accepts the Bishop's challenge!

In just the first week of taking up donations for this cause of hunger in Iowa and the world, Living Faith is only $35 short of our minimal goal of $500!

Look for the basket on the sign up table to make your donation this Sunday! Checks should be made out to the Western Iowa Synod. Our donations will be sent in to the Bishop's office next week! A shirt has been delivered to Bishop Lorna!

Ice Cream Days Parade Float!

Ice Cream Days will be here soon and Living Faith's Leadership Team has plans in place for a Living Faith float in the Ice Cream Days parade on June 17th!

We will be riding the float spelling out "A Place for You" with bedazzled placards! If you would like to bedazzle a placard and/or ride on the float, get your name down on the sign up sheet on the sign up table! The float will also feature a new Living Faith vinyl sign!

Placards will be handed out this Sunday, June 4 and also on June 11. Float riders will be given information on where to find the float, where to park, when to arrive as soon as the Leadership Team is notified of our placement in the parade. (Should be early in the week of Ice Cream Days.)

Mission Do-Day on June 22

The PUCC Women are hosting a Mission Do-Day on Thursday, June 22nd beginning at 9:30 AM. The focus of this event is to make school bags and fleece blankets for members of the Native American Presbytery in South Dakota. All are invited - men included! Sewing skills are not necessary to participate in this outreach ministry. If you have a sewing machine, rotary cutter and mat, please bring these along. Lunch will be provided.

God's Work Our Hands

Looking down the road, we will celebrate this event the Sunday after Labor Day. Be thinking and observing as to what projects Living Faith could help with on this Sunday! Pass your suggestions on to any member of the Leadership Team!

A Cartoonist's Guide to the Bible

If you know anyone who is into graphic novels, check out the website cartoonistbible.com. Steve Thomason, an Associate Professor at Luther Seminary, is the creator of this website with resources for all who are interested in the Bible in visual form!

Please keep the following in your prayers:

  • Safe travels for Pastor Denne over these next two weeks.

  • Cole, Brittany and Morgan McAllister as Morgan continues to grow and progress in the hospital.

  • John & Peg McAllister's brother-in-law, Kevin, as he deals with health issues.

  • Families of school children as they begin summer vacation schedules.

  • Farm fields in need of rain.

  • Prayers of thanksgiving for the generosity of the PUCC in the use of the Chapel space for our summer worship.
