Pastor Paige led Living Faith in the celebration of Pentecost by teaching us the word for spirit in many languages, delivering a message of the astonishing, amazing, bewildering and perplexing moments of that first Pentecost of the giving of the Holy Spirit as well as times from her life of amazing, bewildering, astonishing and perplexing Holy Spirit moments, and inviting members of Living Faith to lean into the Spirit by asking them to lead us during the prayers of the church.

Next Week

Living Faith will go into the Sundays after Pentecost under Pastor Paige's worship leadership and Travis Balt accompanying us on the piano. Kim Lang will read scripture and Todd Lang will assist with Holy Communion. We will also pay tribute to all the males of Living Faith and enjoy a slideshow of members' fathers living and in heaven. If you have not sent in your picture for this slideshow, please text or email Kay by Thursday!

Living Faith worships at 11:00 AM within the walls of the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. You can enter through the double doors under the portico or the south-facing glass door. The sanctuary will be to your right as you enter from the south. Come worship with us - we would love to welcome you!

We're getting a good amount of volunteers, but there's always room for YOU on our Living Faith parade float entry for the Ice Cream Days Parade on Saturday, June 21! If you would like to help decorate the float we will be gathering at our start off point on the boulevard (park in the Le Mars Community School's High School parking lot) at 8:30 to put the final touches on the float!

ree

There's room in the bin for more candy donations to hand out to the children along the parade route! Drop off your donations by Sunday, June 15!

Sunday, June 29, will be a special day at Living Faith where we will welcome new members to Living Faith during our worship service! Following worship, we will enjoy a potluck meal together to become more acquainted! Bring a main dish or side dish or dessert to share! Table service and beverages will be provided.

ree

After our potluck meal on the 29th, for those who can stay, we will be having a painting party in Pastor Paige's office! New carpeting will be installed in the office this summer and so the time to paint is before that happens! We are in need of volunteers to help move the furniture within the room and those who would like to help paint the walls! The perk is there will be no worries about dripping on the carpet! If you have mad painting skills, bring your paint trays, rollers and brushes and we will get the room well on its way to being refreshed!

Pastor Paige's office hours are: Mondays from 10 - 2 and Thursdays from 1 - 4. Pastor Paige also has a new email members should put in their address books to use to email messages for her: pastor@livingfaithlemars.com.

Also, if you have messages for Sandy Heeren as our treasurer, her email address is: treasurer@livingfaithlemars.com.

Pastor Paige has secured a Living Faith phone number for her cell phone. Please update your contact for her to designate this number for Living Faith members to contact her: 712-541-3782.

The Church Council is working on protocols for handling our plate offerings on Sundays. We are in need of four individuals who would be willing to rotate duties in counting and securing the plate offerings after worship. This would be a quick task taking place in the Living Faith office where money will be counted, recorded, placed in an envelope and delivered to our bookkeeper's home. Brian Michaelson and Yvonne Law have volunteered to help with this and we would like to have at least two more to rotate this task! Please let Kay know if you would like to help.

Reminder that offering envelopes are on the Living Faith table in the narthex if you would like your cash plate offerings to be recorded on your giving statement.

Do-Day with the PUCC!

Living Faith will join with the PUCC to have a Do-Day on Thursday, June 26th beginning at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your sewing machine, iron and ironing board if you wish! You do not need to sew to help out on that day - there are plenty of non-sewing tasks. Taco salads from Taco John's will be ordered for lunch that day. Come when you can, leave when you must!
