**Prayer! What is your prayer posture?**

The Seventh Sunday after Pentecost brought prayer into focus for Living Faith via Pastor Paige's Sunday message and children's sermon. Persistent prayer is a response to what God has given you and such persistent prayer will build your relationship with God. When the Bible speaks of "ask, seek, knock", those actions are done by us, but God's actions have already occurred: given, revealed, opened. See the Living Faith Facebook page's live stream of Sunday's service to view the children's sermon which expanded on the message Pastor Paige brought to us!

Thank you to all who helped with our service on Sunday: Tim Kass, Travis Balt, Debbie Gibson, Karen Schroeder, Angela Catton, Yvonne Law, and Brian Michaelson.

Next Sunday, all are welcome to worship at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. Pastor Paige will preside over worship and Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano. Peg McAllister will read scripture and Mark Catton will assist with Holy Communion. Please join us!

Faith + Fellowship is a time to spend in conversation with PUCC and Living Faith worshipers! It meets at 10:00 in the Fellowship Hall! Coffee and refreshments are served during this informal time!

Here are dates for your August calendars:

August 5th - Church Council meeting at 6:30 in Living Faith meeting room.
August 18 - September 12 - Living Faith and PUCC deliver Meals on Wheels.
August 23 - Church Council Retreat from 9:00 - 2:00.
August 24 - Blessing of the Backpacks during 11:00 worship service.

Date TBD - Afternoon at the Night and Day in Oyens with John and Peg McAllister

Check out the sign up bulletin board in the narthex of the PUCC to pick out a week where you and a friend can assist with delivering Meals on Wheels in Le Mars! To do this ministry, you need access to a car and have free time between 10:30 and 11:15 during the week days. Living Faith's share of helping with this is to sign up for both the north and south routes for 2 of the weeks of August 18 - September 12. Check out the board and volunteer! Questions? Carpet Installation - Part 1!

The first step in getting our new carpet in Pastor Paige's office and the Living Faith meeting room was to clear the office of its furniture! Thank you to Tim Kass, Mark Catton, Will Elbert, John McAllister, Clayton and Janice Kooiker for answering the call for help!
