Living Faith gifted the Mack Family - Mitchel, Jenni, Casey & Eli - with a basket of love to show our support and care for this special young family!

Last Week

25 worshipers came together to praise, pray, listen, learn and be fed at the Table. Our offering totaled $886.

Thank you to:

  • Pastor Jay Denne for leading us in worship, Gail Kass for accompanying us on the piano, Tim Kass for his ushering duties, Peg McAllister for making the bread for communion, and Mark Catton for reading scripture and assisting with communion.

  • Pastor Jan and Audrey Scholten for their work in the Chapel space this past week!

Next Week

  • Debbie Gibson will read Scripture and Karen Schroeder will help to serve communion.

  • There will be no live streaming of the service for Facebook Sunday, July 9th.

This week, Cheryl Juhl will provide treats for the 10:00 Faith + Fellowship hour. Mark Juhl will be leading the discussion!

Last week we pondered the question: If you were to get a tattoo of a religious nature, what would you get and what would it symbolize? We also found out our favorite game shows of all time! Most answers brought back some great memories!

There will be no Faith + Fellowship hour on July 16th.

Living Faith had an entry in the 4th of July parade! Thank you to the Kopperud Family for providing the decorated pickup and heading up this effort! Thank you to the riders: Judd, Kari, Kortney, Jordan, and Jess Kopperud, Yvonne Law, June & Dell Ferguson, and Gail Kass! Thank you to M. Catton and Co. for supplying the candy we handed out and to Angela Catton for designing the flyers passed out which advertised Living Faith and our outdoor worship on July 16th! Thank you to walkers Mark & Angela Catton, Tim Kass and Mark Juhl!

Plan to stay for a noon lunch! The Leadership Team will provide the main dish and we are asking all others to bring a side dish or a dessert to share. Table service, bottled water and condiments will be provided.

If the weather chases us indoors, we will worship in the Chapel of the PUCC and lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

The 10th Anniversary of God's Work Our Hands is coming in September and Living Faith would like to be the hands and feet of Jesus for any Living Faith member or community member who may need some extra help! Please let any member of the Leadership Team know if you have a person and a project in mind that we could assist that day! The more projects, the better - we can always schedule an extra work day!

Faith5 is a practice for families with children of all ages! It involves 5 steps:

  1. Share highs and lows.

  2. Read a Bible story or verse.

  3. Talk about how that verse or story relates to anyone's highs or lows.

  4. Pray for one another's highs and lows.

  5. Bless each other.

Adults Saving Kids

Last Sunday, Mark Juhl shared about this organization: Adults Saving Kids. This effort came about because its organizer, ELCA pastor Alvin Erickson, a friend of Mark's, had a daughter who was a victim of a human trafficker. His website, adultssavingkids.org, talks about parenting insights for parents and grandparents. Mark can also give you more information about Pastor Erickson and his support for parents.

Another piece on this website is the article, "Prayer Project Lifesaver". Take a look at it! The article speaks about how to go about having a congregation make prayer a priority and how to set up a framework to have every single member of a congregation prayed for everyday. What do you think of trying to make this happen at Living Faith? We are just the right size to try to get this started, don't you think!?

Please hold in prayer:

  • Baby Morgan McAllister and her NICU stay as she grows. Pray also for her parents, Cole and Britney.

  • John and Peg McAllister's brother-in-law, Kevin, as he regains strength and health.

  • Rainfall for our area crops.

  • Thanksgiving for our nation and the freedoms we enjoy.

  • Prayers for those who do not enjoy such freedoms.
