Last Week
Living Faith partnered with the Presbyterian United Church of Christ for the first Sunday after Christmas worship service! The service was held in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC and it was a family-centered time of hearing the Christmas story once again, singing much loved and familiar Christmas carols, playing Bingo with the Christmas story, creating play-doh nativities while the story was told, and creating "mad-lib" prayers for the Christmas season and into the new year!
The service began with a piano prelude by Claire Odens. Claire is the daughter of Jolene Odens, a fifth grader at Franklin School and a piano student of Miriam Hector. Claire played "The First Noel" and "The Carol of the Bells." Thank you, Claire, for sharing your talents with us!

Thank you to Kay Koch for providing a prelude piece, the accompaniment for the Christmas hymns, an offertory piece and a postlude!

Thank you to Audrey Scholten for presiding over our worship service!

Thank you to Angela Catton, Kari Kopperud, Jerry Holbrook, Kay Michaelson, and MIke Prichard for reading the Christmas story!

Thank you to Amy Beveridge for manning the PowerPoint and to Jovie Riccio for handing out Bingo....er, Glory to God in the Highest! prizes!

Thank you to Tim Kass and Steve Beveridge for ushering for us!

Hot Cocoa Bar
Following the service, we all enjoyed a Hot Cocoa Bar. Thank you to the Beveridge-Riccio Family and the Living Faith-ers who provided the hot cocoa, hot cider, coffee and treats!

Next Week
You will find Living Faith back in the Sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave. SE) for worship at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Halaas presiding. We welcome you to worship on this first Sunday of the New Year! Rumor has it that Wisemen may be in the building! Kay Michaelson will read Scripture and if you would like to assist with Holy Communion, please let Kay know!

Be watching next week's news and your e-mail for information as to when Living Faith will take down their Christmas decorations at the PUCC and assist the PUCC with taking theirs down!

Check out the Meals on Wheels volunteer board in the Narthex of the PUCC at their table! Living Faith is partnering with the PUCC to help deliver meals to homebound Le Mars folks the weekdays of January 20 - February 14. If you are free from 10:40 - 11:30 any weekday, please consider helping with this Le Mars ministry!
Volunteers are to report to the Le Mars Senior Center (40 1/2 Central Ave. SE - behind City Hall) by 10:40 to pick up the meals and delivery route addresses. Containers are returned following delivery. There are 2 routes to cover each day, a north route and a south route. One person can take a route, but it is helpful to partner up and have two handle each route. The North Route is already covered for January 20 - 24 and the South Route is covered for February 10 - 14. The South Route is spoken for on January 20 only and February 3 only. So grab your calendar and check the sign up as soon as possible!

We celebrate with those who are celebrating in the month of January!
