"Light four candles to watch for Messiah."

Last Week

Living Faith celebrated the Fourth Sunday of Advent by lighting the Love Candle. Pastor David Halaas led our worship on this Sunday before the Christmas celebration speaking about Mary and how to be closer to God: pray, be a part of a worshiping community, show love inside the walls of worship and outside to all you meet. Welcome others wherever you are. Thank you to Pastor Halaas and Dawn Richards who led us in worship and to Tim Kass and Karen Schroeder who also assisted during our service.

Living Faith gifted Pastor Halaas with Lutheran socks - check out the red pair he plans to wear on Tuesday! We also gave him gift cards to his favorite Sioux City coffee shop, Pierce Street Coffee Works, and to Book People. Did you know Pastor Halaas has never been to Archie's here in Le Mars? No excuse now as he has a gift certificate to use! Lastly Living Faith has made a donation in Pastor Halaas' honor to the Warming Shelter in Sioux City. Pastor Halaas says, "Thank you for the 3 (!) generous gift cards. Thank you all so much!"

On Sunday, December 29th, Living Faith will partner with the PUCC to hold a family centered worship service that will resonate with all ages! We will gather at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall for this Sunday only. This lay-led service will feature the telling of the Christmas story with hands on activities during each segment of the story! We will sing familiar Christmas carols accompanied by Kay Koch. Prior to the service, we will hear piano music from Claire Odens, the fifth grade daughter of Jolene Odens! After worship, please plan to stay for the hot cocoa bar and a time of conversation together!

Please note that there will be no Holy Communion on this day.

The Noisy Offering box will be out on the Living Faith table in the Narthex on this next Sunday, December 29th!
