Thank you to Pastor Denne for leading us in worship, Gail Kass for accompanying us on the piano, Tim Kass for ushering, Nathan Summerside for reading scripture, Yvonne Law for assisting with communion, Peg McAllister for providing bread for Communion, and Kay Michaelson for live streaming the service.
This Week
Pastor Denne will lead us in worship, Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano, Brian Michaelson will read scripture and Peg McAllister will assist with communion.
Faith + Fellowship meets at 10:00 in Room 103 of the PUCC - we'd love to have you join us! We are piloting a Bible study to see if we'd like to use it more consistently this fall! The hour will start with the customary highs and lows. Kay Michaelson will provide treats for the session.
Next week, Pastor Denne will lead the Faith + Fellowship time - make plans to be there!
Thank you to all who participated in the noisy offering for Arlinna Bowen. Arlinna desires your prayers as she begins her ministry on the campus of South Dakota Sate University this fall. She will be working with foreign students there. Living Faith gifted Arlinna with $151 to support her ministry. Thank you!
Wednesday night, Living Faith partnered with St. John, Akron and St. John, Craig and Confirmation students from those congregations and Christ Lutheran, rural Brunsville and St. Peter, Brunsville to build 27 beds for area children who do not have a bed to sleep in.
12 members worked for two hours doing various tasks to prepare beds for shipping to homes and assembly: sanding, drilling, staining, and sawing. We discovered anyone at any skill level could do the work!
Future plans are being considered to supply children in the Le Mars area with beds - more information on this will be shared as plans come together!
We hope you can attend our Farewell to Pastor Denne on Sunday, August 20th.
The morning will begin at 10:00 with Pastor Denne leading Faith + Fellowship time. At 11:00, Pastor Denne will preside at worship for Living Faith for the final time. We will have special music at this service and celebrate Holy Communion. Immediately following the service, a farewell luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC. We wish Pastor Denne God's richest blessings as he begins his new call at Faith Lutheran Church in Griswold, Iowa.
Students and Teachers! Bring your backpacks to worship on August 20th for the Blessing of the Backpacks! Living Faith supports all our students and teachers as they look forward to the upcoming school year. Backpack charms will be handed out to each student and teacher.

Deacon Eric Haitz will lead us in worship on Sunday, August 27th in the Chapel of the PUCC at 11:00!
We are still looking for projects to assist with on Sunday, September 10th - God's Work Our Hands Sunday! Please let anyone on the Leadership Team know of a project that you'd like to see our worshiping community accomplish on that day!
