Thank you to those who filled in during Pastor Paige's absence: Kay Michaelson and Pastor Jean Ziettlow!

Living Faith is blessed with so many who are willing to contribute to our worship services. On Sunday the following individuals were busy during worship sharing their time and talents:
Jenni Mack - Live Streaming our service
Judd Kopperud - Ushering
Mike Rathke - Accompanying us on the organ
Travis Balt - Reading scripture
Sue Stream - Assisting with Holy Communion
Tim Kass - Running the sound board
John and Peg McAllister - Providing bread for Communion and preparing the elements
Tim and Gail Kass, Brian Michaelson, Jenelle, Kinley and Anniston Van Otterloo, and Mark and Cheryl Juhl - Setting up our worship space, taking down our worship space, counting our plate offerings and delivering our plate offerings.

Living Faith welcomes the members of the PUCC to worship with us! We worship within the walls of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave. SE) at 11:00 AM. Pastor Paige will lead us in worship and preside over Holy Communion. Mike Rathke will accompany us on the organ. Debbie Gibson will read scripture and Kari Kopperud will assist with Holy Communion. Tim Kass will usher and greet you at the door.

During our 11:00 service, we will have the Blessing of the Backpacks! All preschool and school age children, school teachers, support staff and any other school personnel are invited to bring their backpacks and come forward for a blessing during the service. A charm for all backpacks will be handed out as well!

Finish off your Sunday next week with a short journey over to Oyens to 310 Park Street, home to John and Peg McAllister at 4:00 PM! Enjoy a time of Living Faith fellowship! Bring a lawn chair, a munchie to share and a beverage of your choice. Pulled pork sandwiches will be provided by the Church Council.

Mark and Cheryl Juhl will be hosting the Faith + Fellowship hour - 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall - on Sunday, the 24th! Come early for some great conversation and refreshments!

Thank you to all who have made donations to our Underwear Drive for the Le Mars Community Middle School! Our box is close to overflowing! There is still time to donate! The school nurse reports a need for adult sizes 5 and 6! Donations will be collected through Labor Day weekend!

Meals on Wheels Help Still Needed!
Living Faith is being asked to cover 4 shifts for Meals on Wheels delivery. Randy and Ardis Boetger are taking the north route this coming week. Yvonne Law and Kay Michaelson are taking the south route the week of September 2nd. We are yet in need of individuals to take the north route for the week of September 2nd and the north route the following week of September 8. Karen Schroeder has volunteered to take one of those weeks but needs a partner to assist with the route chosen, so we need 3 more individuals to volunteer to help out! Please let Kay know if you can be someone to help with this ministry!

Confirmation Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 PM. This is for 6th - 9th graders. See Pastor Paige if you have a student interested! Location for these classes will be determined soon!

Pastor Paige will lead a Bible Study which will begin on Sunday, September 7 at 9:30 in Room 105. At 10:30 we will dismiss to join our PUCC friends for the Faith + Fellowship time!

Living Faith will be participating in God's Work Our Hands on September 7. Be on the look out for specific information about what our project will be!

All families are invited to the Noah's Ark Carnival on Sunday, September 7 from 3 - 5 PM! This carnival is designed for 3 - 5 year olds. Help is needed to set up for this event (Come at 2:00 PM), to man the booths for this event (from 3 - 5 PM) and to take down (after 5 PM). All booth items will be provided. Help is needed to supervise and run the booths. This is a good service project, especially for Confirmation students!

The deadline to RSVP for Bishop Elect Rev. Scott Dalen is September 10. To RSVP, scan the QR code on this invitation with your cell phone camera, click on the link and sign up on the Google doc that comes up.
