We looked around our new space on Sunday, admiring its beauty!

Last Week

Thank you to all who participated in our worship service on Sunday: Pastor Halaas, Gail Kass, Tim Kass, Conor, Nate and Owen Rathke, Karen Schroeder and Nathan Summerside! We are grateful for all our Living Faith worship leaders and volunteers! There is a bit of set up in making our new worship space ready for the day and we thank all who volunteered to assist with getting everything ready and also following the service in putting things away: Peg McAllister, Tim Kass, Gail Kass, Karen Schroeder, the Van Otterloo family and Brian Michaelson.

During the service, Owen Rathke and Shawn Shipley were presented with certificates and Communion candles commemorating their first Communion last Sunday!

Our Reformation/Confirmation service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 27th in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ, 858 7th Ave. SE. Park in the front part of the parking lot and enter through the south facing door or the doors under the portico. Pastors David Halaas and Trish Underberg will preside over this special service. Mike Rathke will be our accompanist. Kay Michaelson will assist with communion. If you would like to read Scripture, please contact Kay. Wear RED!

Marley Rose Stream will confirm her faith at this 1:00 service. Marley is the daughter of Diego Garcia and the late Katherine Stream. Her grandparents are Rick and Sue Stream. Marley's sponsors are Ryan Stream, Jane Le Clair, and Jennifer Scott. Following the service, please plan to stay for a reception in the PUCC Fellowship Hall to greet Marley and congratulate her!

The PUCC's 9:00 service will feature Rachel Cunningham speaking about the Reformation. Living Faith is invited to this service and following will be the usual 10:00 Fellowship Hour if you would like to attend.


Living Faith Fellowship time will also take place following our 1:00 service with a reception for Marley Stream.

Noisy Offering on October 27!

Sunday will be the last Sunday in October and the Noisy Offering box will be out on the table in the Narthex.


Please also check out the worship volunteer sign up sheet to volunteer to help out with reading, assisting with communion and greeting for the month of November!

Living Faith will celebrate All Saints' Day on Sunday, November 3 with Pastor Jean Ziettlow presiding over our time of worship. If you would like a loved one honored on this day, please let Kay know this week!

Would you like to be a part of a Christmas Choir this season for Living Faith? So far, we have 3 people who are interested but we need more volunteers! Please let Kay know ASAP if you would like to sing for an upcoming Advent Sunday!

Living Faith partnered with the PUCC to put on the Community Coffee last week!

October 16 Community Coffee!

On Wednesday, October 16, Living Faith and the PUCC jointly sponsored the week's coffee! Thank you to all those who came out to support the coffee and those who helped with the coffee! Yvonne Law helped to greet visitors, Kari Kopperud, Kay Michaelson, and Cheryl Juhl provided treats, Pastor Halaas, Pastor Jan and Kay Michaelson spoke to the attendees about our ministries together, and Angela Catton prepared a PowerPoint presentation telling the story of Living Faith and the PUCC.
