College Care Package

Sunday is the deadline to contribute to the College Care Package from Living Faith to Kortney Kopperud, freshman at the University of Iowa. Here is a list of possible items you may want to add to the package:

November Mission Project: Help Topple Hunger at LCS!
Cereal Box Domino Drive at Living Faith!

The Le Mars Backpack program gives out boxes of cereal to needy students when they leave for school breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. The program is in need of cereal box donations for this and the Living Faith Church Council has set the goal of attempting to gather 365 boxes during the month of November! On the last Sunday of November, the boxes will be lined up domino-style in the sanctuary and we will knock this project out of the park! You are invited to either bring in cereal boxes of your choice or drop a monetary donation off in the marked box that will be out on the Living Faith table in the narthex starting November 1!
Harvest Worship and Meal - November 8

Living Faith will worship with the PUCC at 10:00 AM on Sunday, November 8 when they hold their annual Harvest Worship. Following worship, a Harvest Meal will be served in the Fellowship Hall. Look for a sign up sheet on the PUCC table in the narthex if you wish to attend the meal.
Last Sunday: Worship at Hillview
Living Faith and the PUCC gathered together on a beautiful Sunday morning at Hillview Recreation Center to worship together. Thank you to the praise band, Grace Notes, for leading us in song! Pastor Kristy May delivered a message on walking wet in our baptism. What a joy to listen to an insprirational message while gazing at the beautiful Hillview scenery!

Thank you to Pastor Paige Quanbeck for assisting with worship and presiding over Holy Communion.

Thank you to Tim Kass for transporting and setting up our sound system. Thank you to Angela Catton for live streaming our service. Thank you to Kay Michaelson for reading scripture and Mike Cunningham for assisting with Holy Communion. Thank you to Tim Kass for ushering and thank you to all who set up our worship space and helped to clean up afterwards.
Following worship, attendees enjoyed a taco bar, side dishes and desserts! Thank you to all who contributed to the deliciousness! All enjoyed the fellowship together in such a special place!

Thank you note received from Pastor Jan Christensen:
To the Living Faith Congregation,
It has been such a joy to serve our Lord side by side at the Red Brick Church on the Hill these past years. It's been a blessing to sense God's presence, doing perhaps a "new thing" in Le Mars, as the 2 congregations have each wanted to be faithful to the ministry we have been called to.
It has been exciting to see Living Faith grow and it has been encouraging to watch and to join in from time to time. My life is richer having known you all!
Thanks for joining with PUCC that last Sunday before my retirement. Thanks for your role in helping with the dinner and participating in the program and for the spider plant. I loved the metaphor to faith. We all continue on serving in faith and uplifting one another following Jesus! It has been a joy!
