Living Faith celebrated Pentecost Sunday with a message on being prophetic from Pastor Paige McGrath. Angela Catton live streamed our service on Living Faith's Facebook page and you can listen to this Pentecost message by accessing that page. Pastor Paige also included a Litany of Hope for Memorial Day in observance of the upcoming holiday. The children of Living Faith celebrated Pentecost with streamers to wave every time they heard the word "Spirit" during worship! And every Pentecost service should conclude with Travis Balt leading the congregation in a rousing rendition of Every Time I Feel the Spirit!

Thank you to all who helped to set up our sanctuary for worship: Tim & Gail Kass, Kay Allen, and Angela Catton. Thank you to Travis Balt for accompanying us on the piano. Thank you to those who also assisted in worship: Tim Kass, Angela Catton and Kari Kopperud. Thank you to those who helped following worship: Tim & Gail Kass, Kay Allen, Todd & Kim Lang, Cheryl Juhl and Yvonne Law. Thank you to the members of the PUCC who decorated the sanctuary with the Pentecost theme!

Sunday, May 31st - Holy Trinity Sunday

Living Faith will welcome Pastor Melissa Pickering, Director for Evangelical Mission (DEM) of the Western Iowa Synod on Trinity Sunday. Pastor Melissa will deliver the message and Pastor Paige will preside over Holy Communion. Travis Balt will accompany us on the piano. If you would like to read scripture or assist with Communion, please let Kay know.
Living Faith worships in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. Our service begins at 11:00 AM. We welcome ALL to worship!

Immediately following worship, there will be a church potluck in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC. Cheryl Juhl and Kari Kopperud are providing the main dishes, Kay Michaelson, Kay Allen, Kari, and Rich Ziettlow are providing salads or side dishes, and Yvonne Law, Kari, Gail Kass and Rich are providing desserts. Thank you to all for your contributions to our noon meal!

During our meal and following, Living Faith, led by Pastor Paige, will continue their visioning for the future. This month's visioning will be different from our first session, so please plan to attend no matter whether you attended the first session or not! These sessions generate important discussion and thinking for the future direction for Living Faith! We need YOU!

Everyone is invited to start their Sunday morning at the PUCC off with Fellowship time. Visiting and coffee run from 10:00 - 11:00 with our PUCC friends! Thank you to Yvonne Law and Kay Allen for hosting last week's coffee time!

Sunday is the last Sunday in the month of May so that means it's Noisy Offering time! Look for this box on the Living Faith table in the narthex and drop off your change! This year, our Noisy Offering will go to the online ministry led by Pastor Paige, Fully Beloved.

Help with Reading Scripture or a Assisting with Holy Communion
Every week, one volunteer each, is needed to read our scripture lessons and help with Holy Communion. Please consider helping with this and sign up for a Sunday of your choosing!

The Ice Cream Days parade is fast approaching - it will be held on Saturday, June 20 this year. The parade will start out at 9:30 that morning. The Church Council has selected the theme and gathered the things necessary to put the float together. Your help is needed in the following ways:
We need 2 more float riders.
We need 6 more walkers to hand out Jesus figurines and candy.
We need 2 volunteers to ride in the pickup to hand out the buckets of giveaways to the walkers.
There is a sign up sheet on the Living Faith table in the narthex for you to volunteer to help out with any of the above needs!
On Sunday, June 7, Angela Catton will be working with the young people of Living Faith to help out with decorating two of our float signs!

Volunteers are also needed to donate candy for the Ice Cream Days' Parade. There is a bin on the sign up table where you can drop your candy off. Please, no chocolate candy.

One-day Vacation Bible School at Living Faith will be held Sunday, July 12 beginning at 9:00 AM. Children ages 4 - going into 5th grade are eligible to attend. Registration forms are out on the Living Faith table in the narthex. Pick one up for each child who would like to come and return them to Pastor Paige!
