Last Sunday
28 came to worship and our offering totaled $1,050. Additionally, a gift of $1,000 was made to Living Faith in honor of Wanda Mammen. Thank you to the family of Wanda for this generous donation!
Thank you to those who helped with worship: Gail Kass, Karen Schroeder, Kay Michaelson, Peg McAllister, Jess Kopperud and Tim Kass.
Thank you to Kari Kopperud for providing the deliciousness for Faith + Fellowship Time!
This Sunday, Pentecost Sunday!
We will be worshiping in our summer location through the month of September: The chapel of the PUCC! Thank you to the PUCC for their willingness to let us use this air-conditioned space! Please continue to park in the rear of the church, enter through the Noah's Ark Preschool door, and make your way to the chapel which is down the hallway where you enter, then to your left and it is the last room on your right of that hallway!
10:00 Faith + Fellowship Time will be relocating to Room 103 which is the first room on your right as you go down the hallway towards the chapel. Come join us for coffee and some really good conversation!
Peg McAllister will read on Sunday and Kay Allen will assist with communion.
Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano.
Kay Michaelson will provide refreshments for Faith + Fellowship Time at 10:00.

Living Faith has accepted Bishop Halaas' RAGBRAI challenge of donating $500 or more in the Iowa Bishops' Ride Against Hunger!
Monies raised will go towards World Hunger and also the fight against hunger in Iowa.
There will be a large, white, marked envelope on the sign up table for you to place your donations over the next 2 Sundays. Checks should be made out to the Western Iowa Synod.
Let's spread the word about this hunger challenge and introduce Living Faith Lutheran across the state of Iowa!

Here Comes Summer Fun at Living Faith!
Living Faith is having an entry in the Ice Cream Days Parade on Saturday, June 17th!
Volunteers are needed to ride the float!
Volunteers are needed to adopt a letter of our theme: "A Place for You" to decorate up for riders to hold up!
Letters will be handed out June 4 and June 11. Float riders will get information on where the Living Faith float will be parked on the boulevard and will come to that location by 9:00 on the 17th.
Please see the sign up sheet on the sign up table to be a part of this outreach to our community to spread the word of Living Faith!

Plans are in the works for an outdoor worship service and potluck lunch on Sunday, July 16th at O'Toole Park.
Mark your calendars!

S'More Summer Fun in August!
On August 27th, Living Faith will host a bonfire and s'mores night.
More details will come soon!
Invitations from the PUCC

Last week the Faith + Fellowship group began tackling the question we are invited to think on: What breaks God's heart in our community?
We will continue this discussion on Sunday but you are also welcome to take the half sheet hand out on the sign up table and contribute your own answers to this question and drop it in the decorated box.
In June, the answers will be gathered and a time of conversation will be set for the PUCC members to consider these questions along with Living Faith. Be watching for the date and time for this gathering!
Mission Do-Day on June 22
The PUCC Women are hosting a Mission Do-Day on Thursday, June 22nd beginning at 9:30 AM. The focus of this event is to make school bags and fleece blankets for members of the Native American Presbytery. All are invited - men included! Sewing skills are not necessary to participate in this outreach ministry. If you have a sewing machine, rotary cutter and mat, please bring these along. Lunch will be provided. More information on how you can donate to this effort will be forthcoming. Watch this space!

Stewardship Kaleidoscope is an annual conference offering speakers, workshops, worship experiences and networking opportunities for stewardship and generosity. This conference is sponsored by the PCUSA but there are also ELCA personnel who partner with the conference to lead some of the workshops.
This year, the conference is being held in Minneapolis September 25 - 27. Pastor Jan and Bobbi Bendicksen from the PUCC are going and if anyone from Living Faith would like to join, please contact Pastor Jan as soon as possible. Registration is $325 per person (Living Faith could help with those costs.) and hotel accommodations would be on top of that. Car pooling is possible with the PUCC attendees.
For more information, go to the website: stewardshipkaleidoscope.org and take a look at all this conference offers.
