Living Faith Lutheran Scholarship

At Living Faith Lutheran Church (ELCA) we are dedicated to fostering a strong community rooted in faith and love. Our church offers a welcoming environment for all individuals seeking spiritual growth and connection. Through our various ministries and programs, we aim to support and uplift each other in our journey of faith. As part of our commitment to serving others, we are proud to announce the Living Faith Lutheran ELCA Church Scholarship Program. This program provides financial assistance in the amount of $1,000 to members of our congregation wishing to attend a college, university, seminary, or vocational/trade school.

Scholarship Program Guidelines

We invite you to apply for the Living Faith Lutheran ELCA Scholarship. Applications for each funding year must be submitted or postmarked by May 1 of each funding year. Scholarships are paid directly to the designated college, university, or vocational/trade school by August 1. Qualifications

The $1,000 scholarships are available only to members of Living Faith Lutheran Church. Consideration shall be given to involvement in the church and the character of the applicant.
Applications for the scholarship are due May 1 prior to the fall academic year.
Depending upon the available income, the scholarships shall be awarded in the following categories:
- Students attending ELCA college, universities and seminaries.
- Students attending four-year colleges or universities.
- Students attending vocational or community colleges.
Depending upon the available funds, the scholarship(s) shall be awarded according to the following priorities:
- First year students
- Second year students
- Third year students
- Fourth year students
- Graduate students
There is no limit as to how many years a scholarship can be awarded to an individual student. Scholarships are awarded subject to the available funds, the number of applicants, in accordance to the priorities stated above. Students attending ELCA seminaries are not considered with graduate students in the above priorities, but are considered with first, second- and third-year students.
Scholarship funds shall be sent directly to the educational institution by August 1 and instructed to apply $500 toward each semester.
Applicants will be notified of their award status by June 15 of each funding year. Scholarship award recipients must provide by July 15: their student ID and an address to where the scholarship check should be sent (usually to the attention of the Office of Financial Aid).
