Last Week
On Sunday, we honored the fathers living and in heaven of our Living Faith family with a slideshow and handouts of Dad's Root Beer and root beer candies! If you were not able to be in attendance, please stop by the sign up table next week and pick one up!

Thank you to Pastor Halaas for presiding over our worship service! His message referenced the Gospel lesson of the parable of the mustard seed - that

tiny seed became a shrub!! God doesn't need big, grand gestures - he desires that you do the little things faithfully! Check out the livestream on Facebook of our service from Sunday to hear the entire message! Living Faith scattered quite a few small seeds in our community at Saturday's Ice Cream Days parade in the 2,000 color-changing spoons we handed out!
Thank you to Tim Kass, Nathan Summerside, Mike Rathke, Kari Kopperud, Ardis Boetger, Peg McAllister and Angela Catton for all their help during the service!

This Week
We will welcome Hope Lutheran Church from Sioux Center to Living Faith! Pastor Halaas will lead us in worship and Mike Rathke will accompany for us. Yvonne Law will read scripture and Kari Kopperud will assist with Communion. Please let Kay know if you would like to greet our guests from Sioux Center at the door!
Don't forget to stop by the sign up table on Sunday to write out and put on a nametag to make our guests feel welcome!

Our friends from Hope Lutheran are invited to join us at 10:00 in Room 103 for Faith + Fellowship!
Tim Kass will have the coffee on and Cheryl Juhl and Sharon Utesch will provide treats! Angela will lead the discussion time for the morning! Come join us!
Ice Cream Days Parade!
Well, Living Faith is 3 for 3 participating in parades under rainy skies! But that didn't dampen our spirits as we rolled down Central Avenue last Saturday to share Living Faith with our community! The plentiful candy and those color-changing spoons were extremely well received along the parade route!
Thank you to all who contributed to this ministry outreach into our community:
Float riders: Yvonne Law, Dell and June Ferguson, Sharon Utesch, Karen Schroeder, John and Peg McAllister, Melinda Shipley, Mark Juhl, and Pastor Halaas.
Parade walkers: Mark and Angela Catton, Kari and Jess Kopperud, Emmary Swenson, Shawn Shipley and Kay Michaelson.
Big thanks go out to our generous candy donors: Julie Hurt, Mark and Angela Catton, Peg McAllister, Kay Michaelson, Karen Schroeder, Kim Lang, Sharon Utesch, Yvonne Law, Debbie Gibson, Mark and Cheryl Juhl, and Dell and June Ferguson.
Thank you to Tim Kass and Mark Juhl who provided the pickup, trailer, carpeting, chairs and the framing for the Living Faith banner! Thank you also to Brian Michaelson for assisting with the candy and spoon buckets during the parade! A big thanks goes out to Angela Catton for arranging for the float decor, Mark Juhl for crafting the giant spoons, and Peg McAllister for the signage on our spoons! Thank you to Debbie Gibson and Sandy Heeren who sent us pictures as our float passed us by!
It takes a village to prepare for a parade entry!

On Living Faith's website (www.livingfaithlemars.com), there is a new link called Living Faithfully. This new page features the 7 Practices of Faithful Living. Number 7's Faithful Practice is Giving...Generosity and Stewardship...Giving our Time, Talents, and Treasure.
In its short existence, Living Faith has continually demonstrated this faithful practice through its volunteerism in community projects that arise, its generosity in donating to those in need, its response to needs and askings within our own worshiping community, and its outpouring of weekly offerings during worship. There's always need in our world and Living Faith works to be in tune with helping whenever such needs arise.
The Leadership Team is working to offer an online giving option for Living Faith.
If you know of a need whether in our community or beyond, do not hesitate to draw our attention to it!
