Last week, Living Faith-ers enjoyed the Best 5 Days of Summer!

Last Week

28 worshiped together in the Chapel and our offering was $1,060. Thank you to Pastor Denne, Yvonne Law, Sue Stream, Angela Catton, Tim and Gail Kass and Peg McAllister for contributing to our worship on Sunday!

This Week

Pastor Denne will lead our worship with Gail Kass accompanying us on the piano. Nathan Summerside will read Scripture and Kay Allen is assisting with Communion.

10:00's the time and Room 103's the place for Faith + Fellowship Time at the PUCC. Come join us and enjoy the treats provided by Yvonne Law this Sunday!

This week, following the sharing of Highs and Lows, we will be trying out an ELCA Bible study on either the Gospel or the 2nd Lesson we will be having for worship that day. We will see if this is the kind of study we would like to do starting in the fall!

Bed Build for Sleep in Heavenly Peace

On Wednesday, August 9th, Living Faith has an opportunity to participate in a bed build for children in the area who do not have a bed to sleep in.

This build will take place from 6 - 8 PM at 716 Market Street in Sioux City. There is a sign up sheet in the hallway outside the chapel for you to sign if you wish to be a part of this service project. Kay Michaelson will get all who sign up registered. We will meet at 5:15 in the PUCC parking lot if you wish to pool rides.

Participants do not have to bring anything except of a a pair of gloves and plenty of water to drink. Also, please wear old clothing as you may be assigned to the staining station.

In March, Living Faith donated to this organization and it will be heart-warming to put together beds for area needy families!

Farewell, Pastor Denne!

Reluctantly, Living Faith will be saying farewell to Pastor Denne on August 20th.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend our send-off to this pastor who has been with us since the first of the year and enabled Living Faith to offer Sunday morning services every Sunday!

10:00 - Faith + Fellowship Hour with study lead by Pastor Denne.

11:00 - Worship in the Chapel with the Blessing of the Backpacks, special music and the celebration of Holy Communion.

12:00 - Meal and Fellowship with Pastor Denne

Noisy Offering for Arlinna Bowen!

Sunday is the last day for collecting a noisy offering for Arlinna! You can drop off your coins in the new and improved (!) collection box in the hallway outside of the Chapel.

Arlinna will be working with the Navigators ministry on the campus of SDSU this fall. She will be sharing the Gospel with the international students there.

Bring your backpacks to worship on Sunday, August 20th! We will be praying a blessing on your school year and giving you tokens to put on your school bag to remind you that God is with you throughout your school days!
