Last Week
We celebrated water and the Baptism of our Lord on the first Sunday after Epiphany! Thank you to Pastor Halaas for delivering a message all about baptism on Sunday! Also thank you to Gail Kass for accompanying us on the piano, Tim Kass for ushering and running the sound system, Peg and John McAllister for setting up for Communion and providing the Communion bread, Sharon Utesch and Kinley and Anniston Van Otterloo for assisting with cleaning up after the service, and Nathan Summerside for reading scripture!
This Week

We welcome Pastor Scott Egbers to our Living Faith worshiping community! Pastor Egbers will preside over our 11:00 AM worship service. We worship in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. Park in the front part of the parking lot and enter through the south facing door or the doors under the portico! The Rathke family will greet you at the door on Sunday! Kjersten Rathke will read scripture for us and Peg McAllister will serve Communion. Dawn Richards will accompany us on the piano at Sunday's service!

The Faith + Fellowship Hour runs from 10:00 - 11:00 in the Fellowship Hall and this time is an opportunity to visit with our PUCC friends. Plan to come before worship to enjoy refreshments and conversation!

The 2024 Noisy Offering totaled $155.99. Yvonne Law contributed the closest guess! Please text or email Kay with your suggestion for where you would like to see this donation made and we will draw out a deserving organization's name soon!

For the purpose of participating in upcoming congregational votes, if you give cash in your offerings to Living Faith, please pick up an envelope from the sign up table in the foyer and insert your offering and sign your name on the front of the envelope. Confirmed members who have communed and have a record of giving are eligible to vote at congregational meetings.

Thank you to all who have volunteered to deliver meals for the weeks of January 20 - February 14! Kay Michaelson and Yvonne Law will be delivering meals on the north route from January 20 - 24 and Kay Allen and Ardis Boetger will deliver meals on the south route Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of that week with Karen Schroeder assisting Ardis on Thursday.
If you are free on Thursday, January 30th to help Karen Schroeder deliver meals, please sign up on the bulletin board at the PUCC table in the Narthex!

The Super Bowl will take place on Sunday, February 9th! Between now and then, Living Faith is collecting canned soup to be donated to The Table at Rejoice! Tina Gray reports that canned soup is requested often this time of year. Donating pull tab soup cans is desired as not all homes have access to can openers. Drop off your soup donations in the bin near the Living Faith sign up table in the lobby!

There will be a Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build, open to everyone in the community, on Saturday, February 22nd at Total Motors here in Le Mars! There are 3 shifts that day: 9 - 11 AM, 1 - 3 PM, and 3:30 - 5:30 PM. You can click on the following link to register for the shift you would like to volunteer for: https://shpbeds.org/chapter/ia-sioux-city/
When you click on this link, scroll down to the date of February 22 and you will see the 3 shifts and you can register to attend by clicking on the link for the shift you desire! Make sure you are on the February 22nd date - there is a build on February 21 but it is by invitation only. The 22nd date is open to the community.
You need not have building skills to participate in this service project! You will learn how to do a particular task when you arrive. Middle school student ages and up will have tasks they can do!
