Last Week
We celebrated the First Sunday of Christmas and New Year's Eve with Pastor Halaas accompanying us, preaching for us and presiding at Holy Communion for us! Thank you also to Peg McAllister, Tim Kass, Yvonne Law and Angela Catton for assisting during our worship service!
Those attending were treated to New Year's hats, glow bracelets and noise makers to ring in the new year and announce that we would go in peace and serve the Lord this coming week and beyond!
This Week
Living Faith will welcome Pastor Joy to the Chapel at 11:15 and we will hear of the journey of the wise men! Debbie Gibson will read scripture for us and Karen Schroeder will assist with communion. Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano.

10:15 is the time and Room 103 is the place for the Faith + Fellowship time for Living Faith! Tim will have the coffee on for you! Join us!
If you would like to provide treats for Sunday, please let Kay know!

Nathan Summerside provided us with these flyers from the Safe Place which speak of needs they have at this time. If you would like to donate, you can call the number on the flyer to deliver your donations or bring them to worship at Living Faith and we will make sure they get to the Safe Place here in Le Mars.

Stop by the Sign Up table on Sunday!
Sign up to volunteer to read Scripture or serve communion during worship!
Pick up a Safe Place food pantry needs sheet.
Pick up the first Living Faith ornament for your collection!
Pick up any of the leftover New Year's Eve party items for your 2025 stash!

A New Year's Message from Bishop Lorna Halaas:
"....it is also important to take time to honestly review and to reflect on the past year.
It is time to name both the strengths and the challenges of the past year, the areas of joy and the places of pain, to name how God was present, and when it felt as if God was absent.
I also believe it is important for each pastor/SAM and people to take time together to imagine, to dream, and to ask...
How will we commit to deepening our faith/spiritual life this new year?
How will we pray and care for all of God’s creation in the months ahead?
Is God calling this congregation into new ways of ministry, into new partnerships? What attitudes and traditions does this congregation need to let go?
How does our financial giving tell of God’s goodness and abundance?
What are the expectations of our elected leaders in this congregation and our elected leaders in this country?
How does this congregation support young people in the Western Iowa Synod?
Who is God calling us to love? How will we live out this love?
Where is God leading this congregation?
