Living Faith gathered on a chilly Sunday morning but the spirit of Advent warmed all worshipers on Joy Sunday! Pastor Paige led worship which included our third annual no-prep, no stress Christmas program: The Christmas Light Show.
Thank you to all who volunteered to be a part of our program: Pastor Paige, Pastor Jean, Rich Ziettlow, Kevin Richards, Shawn Shipley, Emmett Kass, Conor Rathke, Sybil Kass, Clara Kass, Rose Curry, Jess Kopperud, Travis Balt, Mark Juhl, Kari Kopperud, Kjersten Rathke, and Dell and June Ferguson!
Thank you also to everyone who celebrated the Joy Sunday in more traditional ways with scripture readings, hymn singing, praying and communing together!

Sunday, December 21st
Next Sunday we will light the Love Candle, the fourth candle of the Advent wreath! Come bask in the glow of this symbol of Advent! Living Faith worships in the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars at 11:00 AM. Pastor Paige McGrath will lead worship and Dawn Richards will accompany us on the piano. If you would like to read scripture during the service or assist with Holy Communion, please let Kay know.
The worship service will feature an offering by the Living Faith Choir, "Children, Go Tell It!", words and music by Greg Gilpin. Travis Balt will direct the choir and Pixie Balt will accompany the choir on the piano.
All are welcome to our weekly Bible Study at 9:30 led by Pastor Paige in Room 105. During Advent we have been discussing the Psalms from the lectionary for Sundays. We'd love to have you at the table with us!
Faith + Fellowship, a time of visiting with Living Faith and PUCC friends, is held in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC from 10:00 - 11:00. Thank you to Yvonne Law for hosting the hour last week!

The Living Faith choir will rehearse at 10:30 Sunday morning in the sanctuary.
Wednesday, December 17th - Advent Meal and Worship!
Our final Advent meal will be this Wednesday at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC. Varieties of pizza, fruit, dessert, pop, water and coffee are on the menu!
After our meal, we will gather in the sanctuary at 7:00 pm for worship featuring Holden Evening Prayer led by Kjersten Rathke and Rachel Cunningham and a message from Vicar Grace Baumgartel of Christ Lutheran Church.
Confirmation students from Living Faith and Christ Lutheran will assist with the meal and worship.
Living Faith's choir will rehearse following the Wednesday, 7:00 pm worship service.

Pick up your gift bags on Sunday!
Gift bags for the youth of Living Faith are available for pick up this coming Sunday! Blue bags are for preschoolers through 4th graders and the tan bags are for 5th graders through high schoolers. Merry Christmas from Living Faith!
