This Week!

Pastor Paige presided over our service for the 12th Sunday after Pentecost. Find Living Faith's Facebook page to hear a sermon on hospitality and welcome! Travis Balt accompanied us in our singing on piano as well as preparing beautiful prelude and postlude music!

Bailey Quanbeck read scripture and Nathan Summerside assisted with Holy Communion.

Thank you to all who assisted with setting up for the service, live streaming the service and cleaning up after the service: Tim Kass, Angela Catton, Gail Kass, Mark and Cheryl Juhl, Brian Michaelson, and Jim and Sandy Heeren.

Living Faith Events for the Week of September 1

Wednesday, September 3
Parents and guardians and 6th - 9th graders are invited to meet with Pastor Paige and Vicar Grace in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC at 7:00 PM. Contact Pastor Paige on Tuesday or Wednesday if you would like more information!

Saturday, September 6
One of our God's Work Our Hands project is to assist Pastor Paige with moving a few pieces of furniture out of her home in Sioux City (which has sold!) on Saturday, September 6 at 2:00. Meet at her home and furniture will be loaded up to take to Mission of the Messiah. Text Kay for address details of both locations.

Living Faith will be delivering Meals on Wheels this week! Karen Schroeder and Nathan Summerside will be delivering to those on the North Route and Yvonne Law and Kay Michaelson will be delivering meals on the South Route!
Next Week!

All are welcome to worship at Living Faith! We worship in the Presbyterian United Church of Christ's sanctuary located at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars at 11:00 AM. Pastor Paige will preside over worship, Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano, Karen Schroeder will read scripture, Marley Stream will assist with Holy Communion and Judd Kopperud will greet you at the door with a bulletin.
Plan to stay after worship for a short time where Pastor Paige will share a brief announcement about an upcoming consideration for Living Faith that the Church Council has been discussing!

Beginning Sunday, Pastor Paige will lead Living Faith in a Bible Study at 9:30 in Room 105! Come to church early to dig deeper into the lessons of the day! At 10:30, we will join our PUCC friends in the Fellowship Hall for refreshments and a time to visit!

Living Faith will also conduct an ongoing service project: Visiting Kay Allen! Kay welcomes visitors to her home to break up her day! Please call or text her prior to coming as she has frequent appointments. Her cell phone number is 712-540-6950 and her address is 1354 6th Ave. SE.

Noah's Ark Back to School Carnival is next Sunday, September 7 from 3 - 5. Games, snacks and activities will take place outside the preschool door! Bring the whole family to this carnival!
Help is still needed with some of the booths. Please see the sign up sheet on the PUCC table in the narthex to find a booth you would enjoy manning. All booth supplies will be provided. This is an excellent service opportunity for any student who needs community service hours!

Living Faith wraps up our time to help with Meals on Wheels next week (September 8 -12) with Kim Lang and Kay Michaelson making deliveries together.

Thank you to everyone who donated underwear during our drive in August! 3 sizable bags will be delivered to the Le Mars Community Schools this week! We appreciate how you are filling a little-thought-of need in our nurses' offices!
