Dawn Richards will accompany us at worship, Debbie Gibson will be the reader and Yvonne Law will assist with communion.

On Sunday, we welcome Elijah (Eli) Joseph Lee Mack, son of Mitchel and Jennifer Mack and brother to Casey, into God's family through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Sponsors are Austin Mack and Anna Zak. Stand-ins for sponsors Austin and Anna are Judd and Kari Kopperud. Blessings to you, Eli, and your entire family on this great day in your life!

We have many generous people to thank and cards of thanks are on the table for you to add your signature:

1. The Western Iowa Synod for the generous offering taken up on behalf of Living Faith during the synod assembly of over$6,500.

2. Lost Island Lutheran Church of Ruthven, Iowa for their gift to Living Faith of $1500.

3. Pastor Trish Underberg for her gift of the canvas portrait from our charter signing day.

Thank you to Peg McAllister for the beautiful thank you cards we are sending to the Synod office and Lost Island Lutheran!

If you wish to sign the charter, it will be on the table and you will also receive a certificate as well as an information sheet for you to take home and fill out to return as soon as you can.

Pastor Jan has given Living Faith pamphlets called "Pray the Day". With National Day of Prayer being Thursday, May 4, you may find this pamphlet helpful for your prayer life. Some copies are on the sign up table. Let us know if we run out and you wish to have one as Pastor Jan says she can get us more.

If you would like to assist at upcoming worship services by reading or serving communion, that sign up sheet is on the table as well.

Those who attended Faith + Fellowship last Sunday, decided to continue this informal fellowship time into the summer! The sign up sheet for providing treats is at the table too.

And, finally! (Is the sign up table big enough for all these good things?!)

In anticipation of Mother's Day, please take some time to write down advice your mother - or a signficant female in your life - gave you, whether it was wisdom from when you were a child, teenager, or in your adult life!

"Acoustic Storytime" features Cade Thompson, Jason Gray, and Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North and they will be appearing in Le Mars on Sunday, May 7 at Rejoice Community Church, 1320 3rd Ave. SE. Doors open at 5 PM for the 6 PM concert. Tickets are available online at www.Spirit712.com or at Hotopp Jewelry & Gifts, Side by Side Ministries, and KLEM Radio in Le Mars. Ticket prices are $10 each for this evening of stories, jokes and great music!

Facebook Users!

1. Wear your Living Faith Lutheran t-shirt or sweatshirt.

2. Take a photo of you/your family wearing your shirts.

3. Make a post on Facebook and tag Living Faith Lutheran Church – Le Mars IA. You can do this by using the tagging feature on Facebook or by simply typing the @ sign and, with no spaces after the symbol, and simply begin to type Living Faith Lutheran….and it should automatically pop up.

4. At the end of the posting content, use the hashtag #LivingFaithEverwhere (it may auto-populate in lowercase letters, and that is OK as I don’t believe Facebook or hashtags have a preference on whether the letters needs caps or not).

5. THIS IS IMPORTANT! Make sure your post’s Privacy Setting is set to Public. You can do this by finding the button in the upper left part of your post and clicking on the button that says “Friends”. When you do this, you will see several options to select from. Choose “Public” and then click on the blue “Done” button.

6. That’s it! Proceed to post!

It may seem complicated but it really isn’t. Just be sure to tag Living Faith Lutheran, use the #LivingFaithEverywhere (with no spaces), and set your post to “public”. Thanks for helping to promote Living Faith Lutheran as you take our outreach to the streets! Your posts can be mundane or extraordinary! Just have fun and post with your shirts as often as you would like!

John & Peg McAllister's brother-in-law is experiencing some health difficulties and doctors are doing testing to determine the cause.
