Thank you to our lay leaders!

This Week
We welcome Pastor Joy Gonnerman back to the Chapel at the PUCC at 11:00. Yvonne Law will read scripture, Peg McAllister will assist with communion and Kjersten Rathke will accompany us on the piano.

Cheryl Juhl will bring treats for our Faith + Fellowship time on Sunday morning and the coffee will be on, so come to Room 103 at 10:00! We will share highs and lows and have a discussion about the Gospel reading for Sunday.

Important Notice From Pastor Trish!
Registration for National Youth Gathering is this week. We will be traveling with others from our synod. Each person registering will need to fill out the form and send me a copy of their registration. For each person going we will need to have $150 deposit, for the gathering and another $50.00 for the bus. I will be sending in the registrations on the 30th of September when our synod will be registering. You will find the registration form in the attachment. It is for both adult and children.
All youth 8th grade through High School are eligible to go. If finances are an issue, please let me know. The dates that we would be gone are from July 15th through July 21st. We will have a host congregation on our trip down to New Orleans and on our way home. I think the total cost of this will be around $1,000.00 and we will work to raise money for this event.
If you have any questions please contact Pastor Trish at 712-660-8583.

Living Faith in Loving Action This Week!
Living Faith packs Snack Packs for the Le Mars Backpack Program!
We had a tremendous turn out for this project on Tuesday! 18 enthusiastic Living Faith packers put together 400 snack bags which will be distributed on Friday to Le Mars Community and Gehlen Catholic students in need! Those helping were: Kari & Jess Kopperud, Jenelle, Kinley and Anniston Van Otterloo, Kay Allen, Jan Kooiker, Tim & Gail Kass, Sherri Permeswaran, Yvonne Law, Sharon Utesch, Peg McAllister, Sue & Marley Stream, Jill & Mike Rudd, and Brian & Kay Michaelson. Thank you to all who came out for this project!

Living Faith donates to Le Mars Community High School and Middle School
As an emphasis for God's Work Our Hands Sunday, the Western Iowa Synod encouraged churches to donate packages of underwear for area shelters. Living Faith contacted the middle school and high school nurse at Le Mars Community Schools to inquire if this would be something the nurse's office could use in those buildings and the answer was, "Yes!" Living Faith took the month of September to collect donations from members and the response was wonderful! 18 packages were delivered to school nurse, Erin Rolling, on Thursday!

Thank you, Living Faith, for your Living Faith in Loving Action!

Please hold the following in prayer!
Baby Morgan and her parents: An update from Morgan's parents this week is surely an answer to prayer! Doctors have gotten all pathology reports back and have reversed their diagnosis! Baby Morgan does not have cancer and so no chemotherapy is needed for her treatment! She does have some benign tumors that will likely need surgery in the future. Please continue praying for this family as doctors and nurses continue to care for her and her needs.
Kevin Olson who is battling lung cancer.
Mark Juhl's sister, Judy Plank, as she is receiving comfort care following a stroke.
The Living Faith member you are praying for!
