Living Faith helps out with Rejoice! Community Church's Thanksgiving meal preparation - part 2!

Last Week

Thank you to Deacon Eric Haitz and Vicar Bruce Pollock for leading Sunday's worship in the Chapel of the PUCC. The guitar music and "deachitecht" message were inspirational! Thank you to those who assisted with worship: Kjertsen Rathke, Tim Kass and Angela Catton.

This Week

You are invited to join Living Faith for Sunday worship on Christ the King Sunday in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave. SE) at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Halaas presiding. Dawn Richards will accompany us on the piano, Tim Kass will usher and run the soundboard, Kari Kopperud will read scripture and Yvonne Law will assist with Holy Communion.

Living Faith and our PUCC friends will be in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 on Sunday. Join us to share highs and lows and conversation!

November has flown by and we are already to the final Sunday of the month and that means that the Noisy Offering box will be out on the sign up table in the Narthex this Sunday!

Stop by and drop your loose change in!

We have one more Noisy Offering Sunday in 2024 and then in January we will take suggestions on where to donate the money and draw to see which one will be the recipient!

Wednesday, November 20 at 4:30 - Pack snacks for the Le Mars Backpack Program!

Come on out to Nohava's (210 2nd St. SW) on Wednesday to help your fellow Living Faith-ers pack up the snacks for this week's Backpack distribution! Even if you didn't sign up, please join Angela Catton, Sharon Utesch, Karen Schroeder, Peg McAllister, Kay Allen, Caleb and Jenelle Van Otterloo and Kinley and Anniston, Tim and Gail Kass, and Yvonne Law at 4:30. This is such a good crew that the packing will be finished up in no time! Enter through the east facing door labeled with the Backpack logo!

Living Faith Tree Decorating at the PUCC after Sunday's (November 24th) Service!

Stay after service on Sunday to help decorate our tree for the PUCC Narthex and then put up a tree and wreaths in the Chapel! Join Kay Michaelson, Sharon Utesch, Karen Schroeder, Kay Allen, Angela Catton, Tim and Gail Kass and Yvonne Law! Thanksgiving Activities for Living Faith Families!

On Sunday, pick up a pumpkin and marker and pass the pumpkin at your Thanksgiving gathering and write what you are grateful for! Fill up your pumpkin with gratitude phrases!

Also, check the sign up table in the narthex for an ABC's of Gratitude sheet and Thankful for You tags to hang on doors of neighbors and friends this Thanksgiving season!

Decorating the Living Faith Tree at Pioneer Village!

Living Faith volunteers will be decorating our tree in Century Hall at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds at 6:00 on Tuesday, November 26! You're welcome to come out and help beautify our tree!

Our Living Faith Cereal Drive runs from Sunday, November 24 - December 8! This drive will provide boxes of cereal to our Le Mars Backpack program. At Christmas time and also at Easter, the Backpack Program strives to send home a box of cereal with each needy student so that there will be food to stretch through the time away from school. Cereal is a big need this year as donations for this item are down. Let's beef up their cereal stock! Our PUCC friends are invited to participate in this drive as well! If you bring donations on Sunday, please place boxes under the Living Faith sign up table in the Narthex. Once our Christmas tree is up, donations can be placed under the tree!

Other Sign Up Opportunities on Our Table in the Narthex!

Help in Worship - The sign up sheet is out for help with serving in worship during the month of December. Note that there is also a 1:00 service on Tuesday, December 24th - Christmas Eve. Also, on December 29th, Living Faith will be joining with the PUCC for one service of readings and carols. More information on how to volunteer to be a part of this service is coming!
Faith + Fellowship Treats - If you would like to provide treats for the 10:00 Fellowship time in 2025, please find this sheet on the table in the Narthex. Living Faith will take care of the beverages so you would provide treats for around 40 people. You can also team up with someone for your time of volunteering!
The Living Faith Scholarship information sheet and envelopes are on the table! Keep in mind that any donations given by December 1st will be matched up to $5,000! What an opportunity to fund this program for our Living Faith young people's futures!
Sioux City Steeple Tour - If you would like to carpool to the Steeple Tour on Saturday, December 7th, please sign up! We will meet in the PUCC parking lot at 9:15 to decide on drivers and will leave by 9:30 to get to our first church. We will enjoy lunch together in Sioux City before returning to Le Mars.

Christmas Caroling - Living Faith will join with the PUCC to go caroling at 3:00 on Sunday, December 15 and will share a soup supper following! Please sign up if you'd like to spend time brightening up the Christmas season for those who cannot get out and about! If you can bring soup to share, indicate that on the sign up sheet as well!

Living Faith helps out with Rejoice!'s Thanksgiving Meal!

Kari Kopperud, Kay Allen, Sue Stream and Mark and Angela Catton gathered with Rejoice! members on Saturday for day 2 of turkey pulling! Thank you for your help with this community event!
