Worship for the Sixth Sunday of Easter

Pastor Paige delivered a message of knowing God, how to know God and the fact that God abides in us all and has a great desire for us to know Him! Find our Living Faith Facebook page to listen to her complete message!
Thank you to Pastor Paige, Gail Kass, John & Peg McAllister, Tim Kass, Nathan Summerside, Kim Lang and Bailey Quanbeck for preparing and participating in our time of worship!

Baptism

Our worship service also included Pastor Paige's first baptism at Living Faith, Banks Dwight Van Otterloo. Banks is the son of Caleb & Jenelle Van Otterloo and his siblings are Kinley and Anniston. Sponsors are Mike & Elaine Van Otterloo and Brian & Kay Michaelson, Banks' grandparents.

Next Sunday

Living Faith worships within the walls of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ located at 858 7th Ave. SE in Le Mars. Worship begins at 11:00 AM. Pastor Paige will preside over worship with Travis Balt at the piano and Yvonne Law assisting with Holy Communion. If you would like to read scripture, please let Kay know. We invite you to join us this Sunday!

Prior to worship, at 10:00 there is a time of fellowship with the members of the PUCC in the Fellowship Hall. Kay Michaelson will be providing refreshments this week. Come for a cup of coffee and good conversation!

Living Faith extends its deepest sympathies to Tim & Gail Kass and Philip and Karen Kass, and Clara, Sybil, and Emmett upon the passing of their nephew and cousin, Eric Niebruegge of Louisville, Kentucky. Eric's mother is Gail's sister.

PUCC Do-Day
The PUCC women will host their annual Do-Day on Thursday, June 25th from 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. This year, two projects have been chosen. For those who like to sew, school bags will be put together. If sewing isn't your thing, the second project will be giving the church kitchen a spring cleaning.
School bags: Materials needed for the bags are: 1/2 yard of sturdy fabric such as poplin or denim or anything of a similar weight (no upholstery fabric, please), thread and 45 inches of webbing for the bag handles. Bags will be cut and sewn during Do-Day.
Kitchen Cleaning: Please bring cleaning cloths and supplies such as dish soap, multi-purpose cleaner, a small vacuum or anything else you may use to clean your home kitchen.

Congratulations to Grace Heeren who will graduate from Iowa State University on Saturday with a degree in Accounting. Starting June 1, she will be working in Des Moines at F & G Annuities and Life. Grace's parents are Jim & Sandy Heeren. Congratulations to the Heeren family!

Kortney Kopperud will graduate from Le Mars Community High School on Sunday. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM at the outdoor stadium. In case of inclement weather, all will be moved indoors to the Competition Gym. Kortney plans to attend the University of Iowa this fall to major in social work. Kortney's parents are Judd & Kari Kopperud. Congratulations, Kortney!

Congratulations to our PUCC friends, Mike & Rachel Cunningham, whose daughter, Katie, graduated last week from South Dakota State University! Katie will be attending Physical Therapy school at the University of Iowa starting in July.
