W E L C O M E T O W O R S H I P!

Join Living Faith in worship on Sunday at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ (858 7th Ave. SE) in Le Mars, Iowa! Pastor Paige McGrath will lead us in worship and Gail Kass will accompany us on the piano. Mark Catton will read scripture and assist with Holy Communion. Angela Catton will live stream our service and John & Peg McAllister will provide bread for Communion as well as prepare the elements. Tim Kass will greet you at the door with a bulletin and will run our sound board. We would love to praise, sing, pray and contemplate with you!

Sunday, June 28 - 3rd Visioning Meeting

Following worship, Living Faith-ers enjoyed a meal featuring Bob's hot dogs and taverns and then worked together to think about Living Faith's future and its core values and craft possibilities for mission statements. Pastor Paige led us in our discussions with a foundational scripture reading and then a time for members to contribute and listen to each other. Our time together closed with the Affirmation of Baptism.

The Church Council will now take the input from all three visioning sessions to propose mission statements for the congregation's consideration. In addition, the Council will use the information from the survey handed out by Pastor Paige for guidance in suggesting how we will allocate the funds we have collected over time.

Thank you to Pastor Paige for leading us through these thoughtful three visioning sessions!

Thank you to the kitchen crew: Kari Kopperud and Brian & Kay Michaelson. Thank you to those who brought food to complete our meal: Kari Kopperud, Yvonne Law, Kay Allen & Kay Michaelson. Thank you also to Tim & Gail Kass and Jim Heeren who helped get the meal ready and assisted with clean up!

Angela Catton and Todd Lang will meet with members of the PUCC on Monday at 6:00 to visit about boosting the wifi signal in the church sanctuary. This will help with the live streaming both congregations do on Sunday mornings.

Sunday, July 12

Living Faith will hold a one day VBS session on Sunday, July 12 at 9:00 AM at the PUCC! Registration forms are available on the Living Faith table in the narthex. Pick up one per child and hand them in to Pastor Paige!

On Sunday, July 12, Living Faith will hold its annual outdoor worship service on the front lawn of the PUCC at 11:00 AM! Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket for seating. Pastor Paige will lead worship which will be centered on the VBS theme: "God's Garden - Sowing Seeds of Love!"

After our outdoor worship, we will enjoy a potluck picnic in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC! There are lots of sign up spaces left on the picnic sign up sheet in the narthex - so stop by the table and contribute to our meal!

Monday, July 13th

The Church Council will meet on Monday, July 13th at 6:00 PM in Room 105.

Don't unload Sunday's lawn chairs from your car! Bring them to the band concert at Foster Park on Central Avenue at 7:30 on July 15th! Wear your Living Faith gear and we will sit together and enjoy an evening of great music!

Do-Day Projects with the PUCC

On Thursday, June 25th, Living Faith partnered with the PUCC to make school bags to be distributed nationally and internationally. Along with constructing bags, a deep cleaning of the church kitchen took place!

The school bags are an ongoing project and it is hoped to have 30 bags constructed and filled by the end of July. Donations for items to fill the bags will continue to be collected. If you would like to donate any of the following, you can drop them off in the container on the PUCC table in the narthex.

Look Who Enjoyed Lutheran Lakeside Bible Camp in June!
