Pastor Paige McGrath gathered Living Faith together on Sunday to worship on the third Sunday after Pentecost inside the sanctuary of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Gail Kass accompanied us on the piano, Dell Ferguson handed out bulletins, Tim Kass ushered and ran the sound board, John & Peg McAllister and Kay Allen prepared Holy Communion, Angela Catton live streamed our service, Nathan Summerside read scripture, Mark Catton assisted with Holy Communion, Jordan and Kortney Kopperud ran the hymn PowerPoints, and Sue Stream photographed our service.

During worship, Angela Catton gave a temple talk about Living Faith's upcoming entry in the Ice Cream Days' parade on Saturday, June 20. She showed the congregation the posters which will be displayed on the float!

Sunday, June 21st Worship

Pastor Paige will lead Living Faith's worship on Sunday, June 21 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the PUCC (858 7th Ave. SE) in Le Mars. Travis Balt will accompany us on the piano, Karen Schroeder will read scripture, Sue Stream will assist with Holy Communion, Tim Kass will usher and run the sound system, and Angela Catton will live stream our service.

During worship, the men and boys of Living Faith will be honored on this Father's Day!

Living Faith will celebrate Ice Cream Days by having an entry in the parade on Saturday, June 20! We are still in need of 1 - 2 more walkers to walk the route and hand out little Jesuses and candy. Let Kay know if you can volunteer!
Parade participants can come to our float location at the corner of 1st Ave. SW and the Boulevard by 9:00 or at 8:00 if you'd like to help decorate the float! As of this writing there is a threat of rain ( Of course, there is! Ugh!) so bring gear for that as the parade will be held rain or shine unless there's a threat of lightning.
If you have candy to donate, you can drop it off at Kay's home (1501 2nd Ave. SE) by Wednesday or bring it to our float location the day of the parade by 9:00 AM. Thank you to all our candy donors....and also to all who have worked to prepare for our float and those who will be riding and walking on Saturday!
If you are watching along the parade route, take pictures of our participants!

Our final Visioning Session will take place Sunday, June 28 after worship. A light meal will be served where members will begin the discussion of the day giving voice to our thoughts and dreams for the future of Living Faith! Add this date to your calendars and plan to come!

The Church Council will meet tomorrow, June 16 in Room 105 at 6:00 PM

Was there something going on at this house on Sunday?!?

John & Peg McAllister hosted Living Faith at their home on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with just-right temperature and breezes! Thank you to the McAllisters and their wonderful hospitality! Guests had the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon together and visit with one another to catch up with what is happening in each other's lives! Thank you to everyone who brought munchies to share and to Mark & Cheryl Juhl for providing the tavern meat. Another fantastic Living Faith potluck! As members departed, Peg was overheard to say, "We will plan on the 4th Annual next year!"

Sunday will be Travis Balt's last Sunday to worship on a regular basis with Living Faith. Travis has served faithfully over these past few years: delegate to the Synod Assembly, chairperson of the Reconciling in Christ Committee, church pianist, Lutheran Men in Mission participant, scripture reader, communion assistant, pop-up choir director and just, in general, a person who always shows up (except when his apartment is flooding) and always says, "Yes!"

Travis will be moving to Fort Dodge this summer where he will begin his new position at Fort Dodge St. Edmonds as a vocal music director. Thank you for all your gifts and talents you shared with us and come back and worship with us soon!
