Last week
25 worshiped in the Chapel.
Thank you to: Pastor Denne for leading us, Tim Kass for ushering, Angela Catton for live streaming the service, Karen Schroeder for reading, Peg McAllister for making the Communion bread, and Kay Michaelson for assisting with Communion.
$1,195 was our offering total.
This week
We will be in the Chapel at 11:00 for worship led by Pastor Denne.
Yvonne Law will read the scripture and Sue Stream will assist with Communion.
Gail Kass will play piano for us.

All are welcome to our Faith + Fellowship time at 10:00 in Room 103, just down the hallway from the Chapel at the PUCC! This Sunday, Angela Catton will provide treats along with the coffee pot that's always on!
Last week, our group discussed being a praying church and how important that is for Living Faith! To that end, we are going to work on a structure for everyone at Living Faith to be prayed for by a fellow member. More information on this important endeavor in the weeks to come!

Enjoy the Plymouth County Fair this week, Wednesday through Sunday! The challenge goes out to all Living Faith-ers to wear your Living Faith T-shirt and take a picture of you on the fairgrounds with your shirt! Text your picture to Angela Catton or Kay Michaelson! #livingfaitheverywhereatthefair!

Lutheran Men in Mission will be holding a meeting this Saturday, July 29th, at 10:00 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. One of the issues being discussed will be information from the organization Adults Saving Kids led by Pastor Alvin Erickson. Please contact Mark Juhl at 540-1391 for more information and to pool rides!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization devoted to constructing and delivering bunk beds to children who need a comfortable bed to sleep in at night. There is a Sleep in Heavenly Peace branch in Sioux City and earlier this year, Living Faith gave a portion of its Lenten offering to that branch to cover the cost of constructing a bed. On Wednesday, August 8th, there will be a bed build from 6 - 8 PM. Mark your calendars and look for more specific details in next week's news!

Meet Arlinna Bowen! Arlinna is a graduate of Le Mars Community School and will be working with the international students on the SDSU campus the next two years with the Navigators organization. Navigators works to proclaim the Gospel on college campuses.
Living Faith is invited to keep Arlinna in prayer as she begins her ministry at SDSU and we will also take up a noisy offering on August 6 and 13 in support of her. Look for the container on the sign up table and please consider donating your change for Arlinna!

Don't forget about God's Work Our Hands coming up on September 10! Please share any projects you have been considering with the Leadership Team! We hope to be out and about in our community doing good work the morning of September 10!

Our Ministry Site Profile has been completed and submitted to the Bishop for approval and activation to the ELCA at large. The Leadership Team is interested in securing a Mission Developer who would have the specific skills of working with us to grow Living Faith's presence here in Le Mars. We have also applied for an ELCA grant to have a Mission Developer which would help us with the finances needed to call such a person. Deacon Eric Haitz, who conducted worship for us last fall, is the contact person for the Western Iowa Synod in regards to Mission Developers and the Leadership Team hopes to meet with him soon to visit more about this. If you would like to review the Ministry Site Profile the Leadership Team submitted, there is a copy on the sign up table in the hallway by the Chapel.
As Pastor Denne announced, Sunday, August 20th, will be his final day of presiding at worship for Living Faith and he will be with us for the entire morning that day. The following Sunday, the 27th, will be his final Sunday at Hope Lutheran in Sioux Center. Pastor Denne will be serving Faith Lutheran Church in Griswold, Iowa on a part-time basis beginning in September as he will be dividing his time between Sioux City and Atlantic, Iowa to serve Faith Lutheran and to assist his parents who live in Atlantic, yet maintaining his home in Sioux City. The Leadership Team is working on plans for a farewell for Pastor Denne on August 20th - more details will follow as to how we will celebrate Pastor Denne's time with Living Faith.
In light of Pastor Denne's last day on August 20th, the Leadership Team is working on securing individuals to conduct worship for us going forward. This may lead to a time of flexibility on the part of Living Faith so please keep following the weekly news to be aware of worship changes that may have to happen from week to week!
The Leadership Team will be hosting an "input meeting" this fall for the members of Living Faith to come together to build consensus on several issues: benevolence partners, local mission opportunities for us, and how we can grow and support each other as Living Faith members. We are targeting a time to do this some time in the latter part of September. Stay tuned!

Please keep these people in your daily prayers:
Baby Morgan who is now over 6 pounds! Her lungs continue to develop but she is not off oxygen yet.
Bishop Lorna and all RAGBRAI riders.
Exhibitors and all fairgoers.
Living Faith and our needs for the future.
Pastor Denne as he will soon begin a new call.
