Last Week
Living Faith worshiped with Pastor Jay Denne, Dave Grosenheider and Rich Ziettlow at O'Toole Park! 47 were in attendance to enjoy the beautiful weather and the words of Pastor Denne and music leadership of Dave and Rich!
We are grateful to all who made this special service possible:
Pastor Jay Denne for presiding for us.
Rich and Dave for choosing the beautiful music and leading us in song!
Dave Grosenheider for setting up his sound system and bringing it for our use!
Kay Michaelson and Kim Lang for assisting in worship.
Mark Juhl for bringing in his stage for our use!
Jim Heeren, Tim Kass, Mark Juhl, Kari Kopperud and Nick Shipley's Dad for their help in setting up and breaking down the stage.

Thank you to those who helped make the meal and fellowship possible following worship:
Dell and June Ferguson for cleaning up the shelter house in preparation for our noon meal.
The Leadership Team for their donations and organization for the noon meal: Kari and Judd Kopperud for the donation of the main dish and preparing it, Angela Catton for the bottled water, Mark and Cheryl Juhl for the condiments, and Kay Michaelson for the hamburger and hot dog buns.
The members of Living Faith for the delicious side dishes and desserts!

The day was made even more special when Bishop Lorna pedaled in to greet us in her Living Faith t-shirt! We were happy to hear her words about raising funds and awareness for World Hunger on her RAGBRAI trip across Iowa next week. Bishop Lorna and Pastor David Halaas were able to join us in celebrating Holy Communion and take part in our meal and fellowship afterwards!

Here are more photos from a special day!

Our offering totaled $1,205.
Next Week
We are back in the Chapel at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ at 11:00 for Sunday worship! Pastor Jay Denne will lead our services with Karen Schroeder reading scripture and Kay Michaelson assisting with Holy Communion. All are welcome to join us in worship! Park in the back of the PUCC and enter through the Noah's Ark Preschool door with the Living Faith logo. Go down the hallway, turn left and the Chapel is at the end of that long hallway, last door on your right.

We look forward to getting back together for Faith & Fellowship time this coming Sunday! We will want to catch up with everyone and find out how their summer is going! We will also talk about the idea of praying for every Living Faith member! Join us for coffee and once-around-the-table discussion questions at 10:00 in Room 103! Peg McAllister will bring treats!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Sioux City, is an organization dedicated to building, assembling and delivering quality bunk beds to children and families in need as Sleep in Heavenly Peace believes no child should go without a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads at night. Pastor Trish Underberg reports that there will be another Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build on August 9 from 6 - 8 PM. Living Faith members are invited to join in on this build! More details will be available next week.

The PUCC has extended an invitation for all who helped with the school bag and blanket project to attend worship Sunday at 10:00 where these items will be blessed prior to delivery in South Dakota next week. 52 school bags were constructed and filled with school supplies and 12 fleece blankets were tied!

Arlinna Bowen (LCHS Class of '18) will be working on the SDSU campus for the next two years with Navigators Edge Corps. Navigators Edge Corps leaders work to proclaim the gospel on college campuses and Arlinna will be working among the international students at SDSU. Arlinna asks for your prayers for her ministry over these next two years. Additionally, the Leadership Team will take up a noisy offering for her during Living Faith services on August 6 and 13.

Living Faith Challenge!
